Jeff Kass Bio:
Jeff Kass teaches Creative Writing and Tenth Grade English at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor MI. He is the author of Knuckleheads, Independent Publishing's Gold Medal-winning Best Short Fiction Collection of 2011 and Takedown, a thriller about a murder that takes place during the weekend of the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game. His brand new poetry collection is Teacher/Pizza Guy, a chronicle of the year he spent delivering pizzas in addition to being a full-time teacher. In addition he is the author of the chapbook essay collection about teaching From the Front of the Room, and the poetry collection My Beautiful Hook-Nosed Beauty Queen Strut Wave. He founded the Literary Arts Program at Ann Arbor's Teen Center The Neutral Zone, is a two-time Ann Arbor Poetry Slam Grand Slam Champion and graduated from White Plains High School in 1984.
